I am a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Civil Engineers and have two degrees, a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering and a MSc in Project management. The professional role of an Engineer is one I take seriously and why I believe strongly in the Temporary Works Forum and its values and objectives. Having been voted in to carry out the role of Chair in June 2022 I feel honored and proud to carry on the great progress made to date of the forum and work with all members and the wider industry to strive for safety, continued learning and sharing of knowledge and recognition of Temporary Works, as the important sector it is.
My experience is varied covering demolition, rail depot and rail infrastructure works, airport infrastructure, basement and building structures and large earthworks/remediation works along with heavy civils construction and design management.
I take continued learning and professional development seriously and play an active role delivering and developing Temporary Works training as part of current industry recognised practices and CITB accreditation along with bespoke training based on specific company requirements.
